Morgan Cox Besterman is a fashion designer with over 7 years of experience designing the adidas Kids North America line at LT Apparel Group in Greensboro, NC.

As a North Carolina native with a strong interest in our state’s rich textile history, Morgan was drawn to the combination of textile science and design thinking offered by the Anni Albers Scholars program at North Carolina State University’s College of Design.  During her time as a student, Morgan presented award winning fashion collections at Art2Wear and fashionSPARK shows.  Through those experiences, combined with a study abroad semester at Central Saint Martins in London, and internships in New York City with Ralph Lauren, Morgan found her love for creating fashion concepts and designing apparel for the children’s market.  Her role at LT Apparel has honed her ability to synthesize an international brand’s identity, apparel trends, and market opportunities into commercial and successful apparel lines for a wide range of consumers.  In response to the growing environmental concerns associated with the fashion industry, Morgan has been integrating 3D design technology into her team’s workflow in an effort to reduce sample waste and improve the experience between the design, production, and sales teams.

Morgan was elected as a member of the Dean’s Young Alumni Leadership Council at the Wilson College of Textiles in 2020.  She has co-led the Textiles Student Mentor Program for 3 years and has enjoyed the opportunity to serve the university and its student body.  As a third generation N.C. State alum, Morgan is passionate about helping students of all backgrounds feel supported in their journeys from students to young professionals.  Morgan is married to a fellow College of Design alum and mother to a daughter. In her free time she enjoys taking ballet classes, hiking, and spending time with family and friends.
